The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rogers showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rogers is just content to waste time from the top position. Abdulkerimov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Abdulkerimov wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it.
Rogers wants to control from the top but Abdulkerimov keeps moving.
Abdulkerimov is looking to stand up but Rogers isn't so interested in that idea.
Abdulkerimov controls Rogers momentarily but Rogers frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown. Abdulkerimov tries to sprawl out of it but Rogers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abdulkerimov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
