Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Hombre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Kenta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Herbert Hombre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akio Kenta!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenta misses with a jab, cross combination.
No luck for Hombre with that takedown attempt.
Hombre fails to land with a series of punches.
Kenta fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hombre scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Hombre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kenta struggling a bit here.
Hombre is looking to take a break and control but Kenta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kenta tries to bench press Hombre off him but Hombre keeps the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hombre remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kenta is not content to let Hombre control the position.
Kenta is trying to control Hombre's posture but Hombre avoids it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kenta falls off balance throwing a combination

and Hombre counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hombre.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kenta is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hombre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kenta on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hombre scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hombre seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kenta throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hombre escapes and throws Kenta's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Kenta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hombre's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Herbert Hombre just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Hombre takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kenta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hombre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hombre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Akio Kenta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
