Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angus Grundi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angus Grundi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Good work by Grundi as he checks the leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Jackson. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Grundi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jackson works the jab nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson lands a high kick to the side of Grundi's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Jackson dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Angus Grundi has been cut.
Jackson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Grundi's guard.
Oh Grundi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Jackson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Grundi throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grundi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
