PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenard Bender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikkel Anhoej (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anhoej comes into a darkened arena with his song building. A Worrior's call kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bender has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mikkel Anhoej will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anhoej doesn't manage to clinch there - Bender circles away.
Bender tries for a takedown but Anhoej sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bender is breathing heavily.
Anhoej pushes Bender away with a front kick.

Anhoej gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Anhoej controlling the pace.
Bender is trying to maintain the position but Anhoej is very close to passing his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mikkel Anhoej wasn't active enough on the ground.
Anhoej thumps Bender with a low kick.

Anhoej closes the distance and pushes Bender back into the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Anhoej connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bender's face.

It looks like Lenard Bender has been cut.

Anhoej escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anhoej lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Bender crumples to the floor! Anhoej milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

A very excited looking Mikkel Anhoej rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
