Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Arai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Arai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arai tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Yang defends well and Arai ends up having to push Yang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Yang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Arai tries to pull guard but Yang won't allow it.

Arai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yang avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arai is looking to clinch but Yang is avoiding it.
Nice sprawl there from Yang as Arai shoots in.
Carter Yang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Arai.
Yang shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Arai eats them both and turns towards Yang to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Arai drives through and clinches with Yang against the cage.

Yang closes the distance and pushes Arai back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Arai is working away from the top position though.

Carter Yang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yang manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Arai is looking to get back to full guard here but Yang has managed to pass to side control instead.

Yang decides to stand back up. Yang steps back and let's Arai get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Arai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Arai shoots for a double leg takedown but Yang sprawls well. He's pushed Arai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Yang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Arai's guard.
