Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edoja Jame!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Charles has closed the distance and engaged Jame in a clinch.

Charles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Charles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jame stuffs the takedown.
Jame shoots for a double leg takedown but Charles sprawls well. He's pushed Jame's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jame avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jame wants to clinch.
Jame goes for a double leg but Charles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Charles continues to drive forward.
Jame is pressed up against the cage. Charles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jame down to the mat. Jame avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A head kick misses from Jame.
Jame tries to close the distance and clinch but Charles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jame shoots in for a takedown but Charles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Charles throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jame pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Charles back to the cage. Jame follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Charles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jame has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Charles has managed to get both his arms back between Jame's legs - danger averted.
Charles wanted to stand there but Jame had control of the position.
Jame tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jame is trying to control the position but Charles postures up.
Jame has Charles pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Charles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jame's waist but Jame gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Charles off to one side.

Charles shoots for a takedown but Jame saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Charles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jame walks away with a smile on his face. Charles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jame fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Charles avoids it really well and circles away.

Jame tries to score a power double leg takedown but Charles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jame somewhat.

Edoja Jame is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Edoja Jame comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jame has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
