The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamygyn moves in looking to clinch but Harrington pushes him off.

and Harrington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Harrington could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Carlo Harrington has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Gamygyn lands a nice hook to Harrington's body. Harrington takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Harrington will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gamygyn pushes Harrington away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Harrington gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlo Harrington will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gamygyn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harrington as he avoids it easily.

Harrington ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harrington no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Gamygyn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harrington is proving hard to escape from.
Harrington wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Carlo Harrington overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

What can Gamygyn do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Gamygyn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harrington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harrington working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Gamygyn is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Harrington has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Gamygyn taps out!
