Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Tracy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Petrenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tracy comes to the cage accompanied by You Can Kiss My Irish Arse. Petrenko has chosen Bro Hymm/ Pennywise as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Tracy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dmitry Petrenko!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Petrenko. That's going to slow Tracy down.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Petrenko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Petrenko connects with a body shot that sends Tracy's belly button to the back.

Tracy clinches with his opponent.
Petrenko with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Petrenko is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tracy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Petrenko has Tracy pressed against the cage, preventing Tracy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Tracy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Petrenko backwards.
Tracy blocks an uppercut.
Petrenko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tracy prevents it.
Tracy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tracy misses with a punch on the inside.
Petrenko lands a left hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tracy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Tracy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Petrenko has him pressed against the cage.
Petrenko effectively controlling the action here.

Tracy is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Tracy can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Petrenko stalling in the clinch but Tracy improves position.
Petrenko lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Patrick Tracy has been cut.

Petrenko is trying to drag Tracy to the mat but Tracy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tracy tries to break free but Petrenko pushes him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tracy lands a hook that snaps the head of Petrenko backwards.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Petrenko.
Tracy misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tracy digs a right hand underneath Petrenko's ribcage. Petrenko let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Petrenko has Tracy pushed against the cage.
Tracy is trying to push Petrenko away but Petrenko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Tracy wants to get back to striking at distance but Petrenko won't allow it.

Tracy breaks the clinch.
Petrenko throws a push kick but Tracy slaps the foot to one side.
Petrenko misses with the combination.

Petrenko moves into the clinch.
Tracy tries to stall but Petrenko uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A frustrated look appears on Tracy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tracy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Tracy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Petrenko with that takedown attempt.
Petrenko misses with a head kick.
Petrenko drops his hands momentarily and Tracy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Tracy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Petrenko circles away quickly and effectively.
Donk. Tracy catches Petrenko right on the button with a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tracy throws a leg kick that misses.
Tracy looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Petrenko fails with a takedown attempt.
We've been told by Tracy's head coaches at Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(50 member cap) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tracy throws a leg kick but Petrenko sees it coming and moves out of range.
Petrenko on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tracy. Tracy obviously looking to wear him down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Tracy will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tracy lands a nice looking body kick.
Petrenko blocks a head kick by Tracy.
A head kick misses from Petrenko.
Tracy connects with a crisp jab.
Petrenko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Petrenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tracy slips a jab and a cross from Petrenko.

Petrenko rushes Tracy and presses him up against the cage.

Tracy breaks the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Petrenko wants to clinch.
Petrenko throws out a leg kick but Tracy moves out of range and Petrenko only half commits.

Tracy misses with a low kick as Petrenko jumps back.
Petrenko throws a leg kick
and Tracy counters with a nice uppercut.
Petrenko avoids the head kick by Tracy.
Petrenko checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tracy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Petrenko is out of range.
Dmitry Petrenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tracy lands with a kick to the temple. Petrenko shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tracy closes the distance and pushes Petrenko back into the cage.
Petrenko blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Petrenko is working for takedown but Tracy is calmly controlling the position for now.
Petrenko tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tracy avoids it.
Petrenko blocks a body shot from Tracy.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Petrenko is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Tracy avoids a wild elbow strike from Petrenko.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petrenko wants to take the fight to the mat but Tracy manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Tracy dips a shoulder and cracks Petrenko with a mighty uppercut! Petrenko falls back against the cage and Tracy unloads with a barrage of strikes! Petrenko is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Tracy screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Tracy!
Patrick Tracy managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Merciless Gladiators, into his post fight interview.
The defeated Dmitry Petrenko had this to say: 'We're one and one now I'm thinking trilogy'.
