The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grozni moves away from the strike by Castro.
Grozni lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Grozni misses with a jab, cross combination.
Castro scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Ivan Grozni has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Grozni checks a leg kick.
Grozni throws out a powerful jab.
We've been informed that Grozni has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Grozni jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castro moves out of range as Grozni strikes.

Castro throws an overhand right that lands on Grozni's shoulder, as Grozni tries to avoid the shot.

Grozni misses with a takedown attempt - Castro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Grozni lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Castro at a distance.
Castro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fighters circle momentarily. Grozni darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Grozni moves into the clinch successfully.
Castro seems to have got his legs back now.
Castro struggles to land a body shot inside as Grozni controls his hands.
Castro swings wildly with an uppercut but Grozni uses good head movement to avoid it.
Grozni has Castro pushed against the cage.
Grozni lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Castro backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Castro.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Castro stops a takedown attempt from Grozni.
Grozni trying to control the position but instead, Castro has worked for underhooks and has pushed Grozni into the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Grozni takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Grozni throws a head punch that misses.
Castro blocks a body shot from Grozni.
Grozni misses with a punch on the inside.
Grozni has a couple of punches blocked by Castro.
Castro tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Castro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Grozni is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Castro pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Boss Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Grozni.
Castro cracks Grozni with a nice body shot.

Grozni escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grozni thows a body shot but no joy.
Castro walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Grozni drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Castro swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Grozni's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
