The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rollins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Whitehead manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Whitehead working for a triangle but Rollins defends it easily.
Whitehead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Whitehead not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rollins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Whitehead is keeping the position for now.
Whitehead is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rollins dives into side control.

Rollins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Whitehead is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitehead tries to buck Rollins off but Rollins is having none of it.

Whitehead tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rollins creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Whitehead sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rollins looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rollins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Whitehead has escaped the position, nice work there.
Whitehead can't do much from the bottom here.
Rollins cracks Whitehead with a big elbow.

Whitehead is trying to buck Rollins off.
Rollins in side control, throwing shots but Whitehead defends.

Rollins tries for a kimura but Whitehead is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Whitehead tries to bench press Rollins off him but Rollins keeps the position.

Rollins goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Whitehead has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rollins but great work by Whitehead.
Rollins sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rollins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Whitehead is working away from the top position though.

Rollins has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Whitehead. Oh but Rollins has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Whitehead goes limp - he's gone! Rollins jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
