The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Britt or perhaps it was just good defense by Rabago which made him look bad.
Rabago misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rabago fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Britt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rabago as he avoids it easily.
Britt closes the distance and clinches up with Rabago, looking for a takedown. Britt pushes Rabago against the cage but Rabago circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rusty Britt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Britt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Britt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rabago looks winded!
Britt wants to stand but Rabago is controlling his arm.
Britt tries to advance to mount but can't.
Britt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Britt throws a push kick but Rabago slaps the foot to one side.

Rabago's coach down at Team Attack was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rabago's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rabago throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rabago stuffs the takedown attempt from Britt. Britt gets slowly back to his feet.
Britt tries to clinch but Rabago is having none of it.

Rabago throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Britt moves in looking to clinch but Rabago pushes him off.
A swing and a miss from Britt.
Britt pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rabago keeps the fight on the outside.
Britt fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rabago swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Britt holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rabago misses with a double jab
and Britt counters by moving into the clinch.
Rabago has a couple of punches blocked by Britt.
Britt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rabago works the jab nicely.

Britt throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Rabago tries to bum rush Britt with a series of wild strikes but Britt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Britt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Britt shoots in looking for a takedown. Rabago tries to sprawl out of it but Britt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rabago manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Britt dives in and grabs Rabago's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rabago pushes down on Britt's head and hops out.
Rabago misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Britt closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rabago did well to prevent Britt getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rabago is refusing to be controlled, as Britt sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusty Britt dominated that round.

Rabago scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Britt has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rabago doesn't defend quickly enough and Britt has managed to lock this one up! Can Rabago escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Britt on a fantastic submission victory.
