Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Federic DelNero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beni Nikaido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DelNero lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

A telegraphed right hand from DelNero misses the target.
Federic DelNero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DelNero pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DelNero throws a sloppy head kick and Nikaido moves out of range easily.

DelNero scores with a jab. Nikaido acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nikaido shoots in looking for a takedown. DelNero tries to sprawl out of it but Nikaido keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. DelNero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
DelNero lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

DelNero fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nikaido.
DelNero takes the fight into the clinch.
Nikaido tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

and Nikaido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for DelNero!

Nikaido is working for a guillotine from mount but DelNero frees his head quite easily.
Nikaido is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. DelNero can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nikaido tries to close the distance and clinch up but DelNero swats him away and circles back towards the center.

DelNero escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

DelNero goes for a takedown attempt but Nikaido pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

DelNero lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
DelNero throws out a loose jab but Nikaido uses good head movement to avoid it.

Nikaido drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nikaido jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nikaido lands a couple of digs.
DelNero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nikaido is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. DelNero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nikaido's back instead.
Nikaido rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Nikaido is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but DelNero pulls his head out easily.
Nikaido gets full guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Beni Nikaido comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Nikaido has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
