Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Sangma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Hartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandon Sangma!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartman wants to clinch.

Sangma buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Sangma moves into range and clinches up with Hartman.

Hartman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sangma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hartman dives in and grabs Sangma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sangma pushes down on Hartman's head and hops out.
Hartman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sangma as he jumps to the side.

Hartman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sangma sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Sangma has Hartman up against the cage in a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sangma is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hartman is defending well.

Sangma throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hartman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hartman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sangma at a distance.

Sangma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Hartman will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hartman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sangma is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The referee asks Hartman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hartman prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hartman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
