And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trent Smith!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.

Gonzalez lands a body shot in the clinch.

Gonzalez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Smith regains guard immediately.
Gonzalez throws a big elbow that misses.
Smith wants to sweep but no luck.
Gonzalez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzalez is in close to Smith's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Smith seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Gonzalez trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Smith tries to stand but Gonzalez is controlling from the bottom.

Smith postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Gonzalez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gonzalez is proving hard to escape from.

Smith has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gonzalez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smith is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gonzalez pulls down on the head and he's put Smith to sleep! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Eulalio Gonzalez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
