Anderson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Akon - Sexy Bitch. John Willis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Anderson clobbers Willis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Anderson as he jumps to the side.
Anderson thumps Willis with a low kick.
Anderson throws a poor cross that misses
and Willis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Willis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Willis throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
Willis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Willis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Willis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Willis off to one side.

Anderson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Anderson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Willis backwards.
Anderson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Anderson lands with a nice body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Willis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Anderson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Willis shoots in but Anderson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Willis tries to clinch but Anderson is having none of it.
John Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Willis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Willis dives in and grabs Anderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Willis's head and hops out.

Willis moves forwards but Anderson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Willis tries to clinch there but Anderson circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Willis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Willis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anderson is fending him off so far but Willis persists. Nope, Anderson circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Willis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Willis shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Willis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nice takedown defense from Willis. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.

Willis shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The crowd cheers as Anderson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Willis doesn't seem phased though.
Anderson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Anderson misses with the combination.
Willis shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Willis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Joey Anderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Willis keeps the fight on the outside.
Willis on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Willis fails to land the takedown.
Anderson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Willis.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Anderson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Willis on his heels. He'll look to pass Willis's guard now, I'm sure.
John Willis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Willis is striking off his back. Anderson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Joey Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
