Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zophiel Furfur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furfur scores with a punch to the head.
Petrov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Furfur's waist but Furfur gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Petrov off to one side.
Petrov moves out of range of the leg kick from Furfur.
Petrov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Furfur manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Petrov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Petrov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Furfur.
Furfur looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrov is just out of range.
Furfur takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Petrov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Furfur - the referee stops the clock and Petrov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Furfur. Petrov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Furfur goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Furfur connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Furfur feints and then cracks Petrov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Petrov down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Furfur lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Petrov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Petrov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Nice takedown defense from Furfur. No joy for Petrov on that attempt.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Petrov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

We've been hearing good reports from Petrov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Petrov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Furfur has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Petrov but great work by Furfur.

Furfur does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Furfur pushes Petrov off looking to stand but Petrov dives back in and keeps control.
Petrov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Furfur doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Petrov.
Kirill Petrov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Petrov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Furfur swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Furfur tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Furfur lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Petrov!
Petrov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Zophiel Furfur.
I've got Furfur winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
