Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amin Sax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sax's entrance music is Infected Mushroom - Smashing The Opponent. A fine choice. Welsh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lets Have A War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Amin Sax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh wants to clinch
and Sax counters with a leg kick.
Welsh tries to clinch up
and Sax counters with a nice low kick that buckles Welsh's knee momentarily.
Sax shoots in looking for a takedown but Welsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sax's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Welsh tries to clinch but Sax moves out of range.
Welsh dives in for a single leg takedown but Sax sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Sax lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Sax is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Welsh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sax.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sax is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Welsh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sax is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Welsh tries to get to full guard but Sax has control of the leg.
Welsh told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Sax is looking for a kimura but Welsh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sax to get the leverage.

Sax is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sax is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Welsh defends it well.
Welsh trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sax is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Welsh is squirming around, avoiding Sax's attempts to control the action.
Welsh tries to hold on but Sax pushes him away.
Welsh gets back to half guard.

Sax seems to be looking for submissions.
Welsh is not content to let Sax control the position.
Welsh looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sax is trying to control. Welsh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sax is looking for a kimura but Welsh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sax to get the leverage.

Sax is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Welsh is just riding it out for now. Sax eventually gives up the hold.
Sax wants to lay and pray for a moment but Welsh keeps working.
Welsh is trying to stand.
Sax winds up and cracks Welsh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Welsh is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sax's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sax's back!

Welsh is persistently looking for the submission but Sax is defending it well.
Sax looking very determined here, making life difficult for Welsh.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Welsh keeps control of the position as Sax tries to break free.
Sax tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Sax bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Welsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sax. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sax stops Welsh from standing up.
Sax trying to control the position from guard on top but Welsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sax passes Welsh's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Welsh is trying to stand back up but Sax is controlling him

Sax is looking for submissions but instead, Welsh has regained full guard.
Welsh keeping moving, preventing Sax from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amin Sax dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Welsh doesn't manage to clinch there - Sax circles away.
Welsh has his takedown stuffed
and Sax counters with a lovely straight right hand!

TJ Welsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Welsh swings widly with a right hand

and Sax counters with a takedown into side control.

Sax looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sax wants to control but Welsh is keeping him busy.

Sax wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Welsh, who protects the arm well.
Sax works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Welsh wants to get back to his feet but Sax drags him back down.

Sax is working to tighten his grip on Welsh's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Welsh has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sax is really squeezing tight and eventually Welsh passes out! Sax breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Amin Sax!
A very excited looking Amin Sax made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
