The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay gets a clinch.
Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell shoots in but no luck this time.
Clay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mitchell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Mitchell pushes Clay off and gets back to his feet.
Mitchell tries to clinch there but Clay circles away.
Mitchell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Clay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Mitchell as Clay shoots in.
Nice uppercut there from Clay.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clay gets tackled into the cage by Mitchell. Mitchell maintains the clinch.
Clay tries to pull guard but Mitchell won't allow it.

Mitchell jumps guard.
Clay stopping the sweep attempt from Mitchell.
Clay wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mitchell pulls Clay in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Cassius Clay was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mitchell is looking to land body kicks.

Mitchell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clay pinned against the cage. Clay gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Clay slips a jab and a cross from Mitchell.
Clay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mitchell but Mitchell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Clay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mitchell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clay somewhat.

Mitchell throws a nice looking combination but Clay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Clay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mitchell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clay somewhat.
Clay moves into the clinch successfully.
Clay jumps guard but Mitchell stands there with Clay around his waist. Clay gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mitchell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Clay scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mitchell slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mitchell has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Clay doesn't defend quickly enough and Mitchell has managed to lock this one up! Can Clay escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mitchell on a fantastic submission victory.
