Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kostas Charalabous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randal Pritchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pritchard has chosen English Blood, Irish Heart - By Morrissey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Randal Pritchard acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charalabous thuds his shin into the meat of Pritchard's side.
Charalabous lands an overhand right.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pritchard, right into the meat.
Charalabous fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Charalabous blocks a head kick by Pritchard.
Kostas Charalabous seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pritchard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Charalabous throws out the jab.
Pritchard lands with a nice body punch.
Pritchard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Charalabous manages to avoid it.

Pritchard tries to work over Charalabous's front leg with a kick but Charalabous checks it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pritchard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Charalabous lands a leg kick that knocks Pritchard off balance momentarily.
Pritchard tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Pritchard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Charalabous finds it's way round the side to connect with Pritchard's head.
Good leg kick by Charalabous there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Charalabous pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kostas Charalabous is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Charalabous looks to throw a body kick
and Pritchard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Charalabous rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pritchard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Charalabous gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pritchard slips a jab from Charalabous.

so Pritchard counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Charalabous utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Charalabous can't keep his opponent in guard - Pritchard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pritchard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Charalabous does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We're going to have a standup here because Kostas Charalabous wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A jab from Charalabous does it's job there.
Pritchard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Randal Pritchard has been cut.

Charalabous takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Charalabous fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pritchard.

Charalabous feints and then cracks Pritchard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pritchard down.

and Pritchard counters with a nice uppercut.
Pritchard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Charalabous clinches.

Pritchard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Charalabous tries to clinch there but Pritchard circles away.
Pritchard tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Charalabous.
Charalabous throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Charalabous jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Charalabous keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Pritchard is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charalabous lands with a right and another and another! Pritchard is in big trouble! Charalabous lands again and this time it's lights out for Pritchard! A quality knockout there for Charalabous.
