PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Fluke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fluke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jiu Jitsu. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fluke tries for a takedown but Atom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Atom moves into the clinch successfully.
Fluke throws a head punch that misses.

Atom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Atom stuns Fluke with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fluke looks to clinch
and Atom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Atom lands a jab-cross combination.
A bone on bone clash there as Fluke blocks the leg kick.
Atom scores with a jab.
Atom connects with a high kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Atom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fluke sprawls well initially but Atom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fluke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Atom pulls his head out easily.

Atom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Atom wants to work for an arm triangle but Fluke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fluke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Atom is working away from the top position though.
Fluke won't allow Atom to pass to mount.
Fluke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fluke wants to control but Atom is keeping busy.
Fluke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Fluke regains full guard. Nicely done.

Fluke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Atom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Fluke is tightening it up a little... Atom has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Atom reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Atom taps out! Nice BJJ there by Fluke!
