The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdemes fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swayne to the ground. Valdemes is now in Swayne's guard.
Swayne wants to get back to his feet but Valdemes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Valdemes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Swayne is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Swayne has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valdemes looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Swayne is defending well. Valdemes quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Swayne has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Valdemes celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
