Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Te Huna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Te Huna getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Te Huna takes a swing at The Ripper's ribcage but misses.
The Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The Ripper avoids a punch combination nicely.

The Ripper misses with a double jab

and Te Huna counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The Ripper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Te Huna's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Te Huna's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, with The Ripper on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Te Huna is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Jack The Ripper has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Te Huna lands an impressive looking overhand right. The Ripper doesn't seem phased though.

The Ripper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Te Huna pinned against the cage. Te Huna gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The Ripper staying out of range there.
The Ripper takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The Ripper dodges the punch combination from Te Huna.
Te Huna slips a jab and a cross from The Ripper.
Te Huna is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The Ripper throws a nice looking combination but Te Huna bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A close round but Jack The Ripper will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Te Huna misses with a left hand
and Te Huna takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sloppy strikes from The Ripper. Those never looked like landing.

Te Huna throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The Ripper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The Ripper misses with a few strikes there.
Jack The Ripper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Te Huna looks to throw the jab but The Ripper is out of range.
Te Huna throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The Ripper tries to bum rush Te Huna with a series of wild strikes but Te Huna uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The Ripper takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A looping hook to the body misses from Te Huna. The Ripper does a little dance to reset his feet.
The Ripper shoots in for a takedown but Te Huna shows good takedown defense.
Te Huna connects with a good right hand that stumbles The Ripper. The Ripper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Te Huna digs a good hook to The Ripper's body.
The Ripper thows a left - swing and a miss!
No joy there for Te Huna, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Te Huna pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Te Huna lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Te Huna cracks The Ripper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

The Ripper tries to move into range but Te Huna moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Te Huna keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Te Huna throws a right and a left that The Ripper avoids nicely.
Te Huna fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Te Huna rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and The Ripper counters with a left and a right that stings Te Huna.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Te Huna looks to throw the jab but The Ripper is out of range.
BOOM! The Ripper lands a beautiful left hook that drops Te Huna. Te Huna tries to recover but The Ripper is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Te Huna lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack The Ripper!
