A relieved looking Pierre Trudeau thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Nate Barnes spoke after the fight, saying 'They say you live by the sword, you die by the sword. My sword is my hands. I'm always trying to get the spectacular knockout of the night to entertain my fans. Unfortunately that didn't happen tonight. Sorry to all my fans.'.
