Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacquiao comes to the cage accompanied by Its Time for War. The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Darude - Sandstorm . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Manny Pacquiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pacquiao sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pacquiao throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Silva wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pacquiao got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pacquiao has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pacquiao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva throws a wild hook but Pacquiao just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Silva gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Pacquiao raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
