Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abednego Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Forestre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane Forestre is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abednego Smiff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kane Forestre! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smiff takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smiff shoots in for a double leg but Forestre sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Forestre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smiff changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Forestre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Smiff tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smiff lands a few punches from side control. Smiff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smiff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Forestre is trying to control Smiff's posture but Smiff avoids it. Smiff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smiff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smiff passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Forestre! Smiff avoids the attempt from Forestre to control. Forestre tries to get back to half guard but can't. Smiff wants to finish this one by submission but Forestre is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smiff. Forestre should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Forestre has given up his back here. Will Smiff look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Forestre is trying to remain composed but Smiff is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Smiff has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Forestre is defending well but eventually Smiff manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Forestre has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Abednego Smiff!
