The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ax misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mirino Angel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angel throws a front kick that sends Ax stumbling back into the cage.
Angel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Angel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Angel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Good shot there by Ax.
Angel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ax tries to avoid it but Angel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ax to the ground. Ax escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Angel fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mirino Angel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Angel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ax as he jumps to the side.

Ax doesn't manage to clinch there - Angel circles away.
Angel shoots in for a double leg but Ax sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ax lands with a big right hook that stumbles Angel - he's out on his feet here! Ax follows up with another monster hook that separates Angel from consciousness! Angel falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ax stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
