Ablett scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ablett takes a swing at Van Der Varrt's ribcage but misses.
Van Der Varrt wants to clinch
and Ablett counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Van Der Varrt!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Van Der Varrt wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Ablett misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ablett definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ablett throws an elbow but Van Der Varrt slips to the side and avoids it well.

Ablett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ablett has an Americana. Van Der Varrt didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ablett is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ablett hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
