The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jnr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Du.
Jnr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Du tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jnr swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Du gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jnr to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jnr trying to control but Du is working from the bottom.
Jnr passes Du's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Jnr is working for a kimura but Du is defending it quite comfortably.
Jnr takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
