Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Stagliano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sam Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendrick Stagliano!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stagliano misses with a head kick.
Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Thomas clinches.
Thomas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stagliano tries to break the clinch but Thomas is controlling the position.
Thomas blocks an uppercut.
Thomas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stagliano fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Thomas keeps the fight on the outside.
Thomas forces Stagliano back against the cage and clinches.
Stagliano gets underhooks to prevent Thomas's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thomas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stagliano goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Thomas has clasped his hands together around Stagliano's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Thomas decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thomas moves into range and clinches up with Stagliano.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Stagliano doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Thomas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stagliano gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Thomas has Stagliano pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stagliano manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Thomas gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Thomas is working for a submission of some sort.
Stagliano looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
We've been hearing that Thomas has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Thomas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Thomas in particular looking to stall.

Thomas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stagliano sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thomas seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Thomas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Thomas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stagliano has managed to free his arm - good work.

Thomas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Stagliano is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
