Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carnell Neff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keyser Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carnell Neff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keyser Soze!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soze fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Neff sprawls well initially but Soze persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Soze is stalling here. Neff is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Soze seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Neff has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Soze dodges the ground and pound from Neff.
Soze is trying to control Neff's posture but Neff avoids it.
Neff throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Soze is trying to improve his position.
Soze gets back to half guard.
Soze trying to control but Neff postures up.
Soze is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Neff is staying active.
Neff throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soze is looking to control Neff's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Soze avoid being mounted?

Soze manages to get to full guard.
Neff makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Soze working a defensive guard here.

Neff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Soze is looking for a triangle but Neff pushes his legs off easily.
Neff controlling from the top position.

Soze looking for subs off his back but Neff has passed one foot through into half guard.
Soze moves into full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Soze has his foot on Neff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Neff works his way back into a safe position though.

Soze working a defensive guard but Neff passes into half guard.
Neff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soze keeps working.
Neff is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Soze is looking to improve his position.
Soze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Neff's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Neff's back!

Neff rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Neff wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Soze tries to pass to full mount but Neff defends it.
Neff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soze on the ground.
Soze trying to control the action but Neff is working from the bottom.
Soze content to control rather than advance.
Neff has his hands clasped together around Soze's back. He's all about the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neff is trying to maintain the position but Soze is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keyser Soze dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Neff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Soze is trying to control but can't.

Soze actively working from the bottom here.
Neff throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Soze manages to get to full guard.
Neff connects with a couple of short punches.
Soze trying to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Soze is on top in guard.

Soze wants to control from the top but Neff keeps moving.
Neff preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Soze tries to free his leg and advance position but Neff is retaining full guard.
Neff looking for a sweep. Not yet Neff, not yet.
Soze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Keyser Soze was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Soze feints and as Neff raises his hands in defense, Soze changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Soze seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Neff wants to sweep here but Soze controlling him for the moment.
Neff keeping moving, preventing Soze from controlling successfully.
Soze advances to half guard.
Soze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Neff knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Soze is looking to take a break and control but Neff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Soze is thwarting Neff's attempts to control the position.
Neff is trying to get back to full guard.
Soze sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Neff defending well though.
Soze is looking to stall here but Neff recovers full guard.
Soze advances to half guard.
Soze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Neff keeps working.
Soze missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Soze passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Neff!
Neff is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Soze wants to control the pace but Neff is squirming around nicely.
Neff is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neff is working hard here to advance position.
Soze wants to take Neff's back here but Neff is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keyser Soze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Neff shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Neff missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Soze won't allow Neff to pass to mount.
Soze slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Soze is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Neff is refusing to be controlled, as Soze sits in half guard.

Soze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Neff keeps working.

Carnell Neff has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neff stops Soze from passing to mount.
Neff is not content to let Soze control the position.
Neff on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Neff tries to get out of the position.
Soze wants to take a breather but Neff manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Soze.

Neff wants to sweep but no luck.
Soze wants to control from the top but Neff keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Keyser Soze.
Neff takes a swing at Soze's ribcage but misses.
Neff keeps the fight on the outside.
Neff misses with a hook. Soze ducked under it nicely.
Neff throws a lazy uppercut
and Soze counters with a series of strikes. Neff will be more careful next time no doubt.
Keyser Soze is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Soze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Neff but Neff pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Neff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Soze moves away.

Neff drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Neff scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Soze looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Keyser Soze is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Soze takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Neff scoring with some ground and pound.
Neff working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Neff throws a big right hand that misses.
Soze is trying to control the position but Neff postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neff postures up in Soze's guard and throws a big left but Soze blocks it.
Neff content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Soze is trying to control the position but Neff postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Keyser Soze.
Well Soze has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
