Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Weerasak Prechantakul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong just misses with a punch to the body.
Prechantakul closes the distance and pushes Armstrong back into the cage. Prechantakul's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Armstrong fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Armstrong uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Armstrong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Armstrong fails in his attempt to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Armstrong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Prechantakul swats him away and circles back towards the center. Prechantakul is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Armstrong. Armstrong throws a leg kick but Prechantakul moved away. Prechantakul dodges the punch combination from Armstrong.

Prechantakul's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've been informed that Armstrong has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Prechantakul gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong jumps guard but Prechantakul stands there with Armstrong around his waist. Armstrong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Prechantakul throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Armstrong blocks it with crossed arms. Armstrong fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Prechantakul turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Prechantakul lands an elbow. Prechantakul tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Armstrong is not content to let Prechantakul control the position. Prechantakul stands up and beckons Armstrong to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong gets tackled into the cage by Prechantakul. Prechantakul maintains the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Armstrong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch but Prechantakul swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Armstrong shoots in for a takedown but Prechantakul shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Armstrong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Prechantakul gets control of Armstrong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Prechantakul will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prechantakul kicks Armstrong off and gets to his feet. Prechantakul shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong shows good takedown defense. Prechantakul closes the distance and clinches. Prechantakul tries to land a knee to the head but Armstrong blocks with his arms.

Armstrong is trying to push Prechantakul away but Prechantakul has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Prechantakul has been working on his balance at Tokyo Totally Gym + Sauna, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Armstrong. Prechantakul is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Armstrong is defending well for now. Armstrong tries to pull guard but Prechantakul forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Armstrong has had enough of the clinch but Prechantakul keeps him there for the moment. Lee Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Prechantakul throws a series of punches but Armstrong avoids them all with ease. Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Armstrong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Prechantakul's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Prechantakul is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Prechantakul tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Prechantakul to the ground. Armstrong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Prechantakul sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Prechantakul is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Armstrong's half guard. Armstrong is not content to let Prechantakul control the position. Armstrong is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Prechantakul in particular looking to stall.

Armstrong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prechantakul. The fight stays on the outside here - Armstrong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Prechantakul leaves Armstrong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Prechantakul stalks Armstrong and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Armstrong's face. Armstrong staggers backwards, shaken. Weerasak Prechantakul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Armstrong fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from Armstrong. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horrible takedown by Prechantakul or perhaps it was just good defense by Armstrong which made him look bad. Prechantakul fails with a takedown attempt. Armstrong scores with a leg kick.

Prechantakul has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Armstrong uses from the top position. Weerasak Prechantakul overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are working up against the cage. Prechantakul manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Armstrong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Prechantakul to score an easy takedown into full guard. Armstrong is looking to stand up but Prechantakul isn't so interested in that idea. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prechantakul accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Armstrong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prechantakul. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Prechantakul stands up from guard. Let's bang! Armstrong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Armstrong tries to keep at a distance but Prechantakul has taken the fight into the clinch. Armstrong blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Prechantakul is stalling here.

Prechantakul passes Armstrong's left leg - he's now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Prechantakul connects with a nice short shot to Armstrong's temple. Prechantakul not doing much here.
Prechantakul moves nicely into side control. Lee Armstrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Armstrong keeps the fight on the outside. Prechantakul pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Prechantakul moves into the clinch. Armstrong wants to break free but Prechantakul has control.
Armstrong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Armstrong takes a knee to the side of the body. Weerasak Prechantakul is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Armstrong lands a shoulder strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Weerasak Prechantakul showed his dominance in that final round. Well Prechantakul has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
