The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nabokov tries to clinch but McCall is having none of it.
Nabokov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCall.

Nabokov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nabokov wants to work for an arm triangle but McCall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McCall is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
McCall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nabokov is working away from the top position though.
McCall wants to control but Nabokov passes into side.

Nabokov has hold of McCall's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McCall tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nabokov cranks the arm and McCall screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McCall, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
