PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Metin Eroglu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Misual Lalpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eroglu comes into the arena with No Worries blaring out of the sound system. Lalpa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Seek n Destroy. Misual Lalpa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lalpa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Eroglu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Eroglu connects with an inside leg kick.
Eroglu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Eroglu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Eroglu throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eroglu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lalpa circles away quickly and effectively.
Lalpa shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Eroglu is looking to slow Lalpa down with leg kicks.
Eroglu jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lalpa ducks right into an uppercut from Eroglu.
Lalpa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lalpa tries for a takedown but Eroglu circles away easily
and Eroglu makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Metin Eroglu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Misual Lalpa.
Eroglu lands an overhand right.
Lalpa fails with the takedown
and Eroglu counters with a big right hand! Oh Lalpa is in trouble here! Eroglu follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
