PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Archer might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Predator Theme. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howell just misses with a punch to the body.
Howell throws the kick towards the body but Archer avoids it.
Howell takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Lester Howell has been cut.
Howell throws a shot from downtown. Archer moves away and avoids it.
Archer throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Archer throws a hook to the side of Howell's head but Howell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Archer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Howell manages to avoid it.
Archer misses with a body shot.
Archer misses with an uppercut. Howell saw that one coming.
Archer moves out of range of the body kick.
Howell throws a sloppy head kick and Archer moves out of range easily.
Archer closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Mason Archer has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Archer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Howell was well out of range. Poor timing from Archer.
Howell lands with an uppercut that bounces Archer off the cage and back into range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Archer.
Howell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Archer misses with an uppercut.
Howell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Archer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Howell lands a jab to Archer's midsection.
Howell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Archer.
Howell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Archer was well out of range. Poor timing from Howell.
Howell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Archer is able to avoid easily.
Howell darts in looking for a takedown but Archer gets double underhooks and turns Howell into the cage.
Archer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Archer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Archer working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Howell lands with a short shot to the head.
Archer lands a body shot in the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Archer.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Archer throws a punch but it's blocked by Howell.
Archer has had enough of the clinch but Howell keeps him there for the moment.
Howell trying to control the position but instead, Archer has worked for underhooks and has pushed Howell into the cage.

Archer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Howell struggles to land a body shot inside as Archer controls his hands.
Archer lands a nice shot to the body.
Howell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Archer after a bit of a struggle.
Archer blocks an uppercut.
Archer scores with a nice hook to the head.
Archer lands with a short shot to the head.
Archer lands a shoulder strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Howell.
Archer lands with a left to the head.
Archer prevents a body shot from Howell.
Archer lands with a short head shot on the inside.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Howell takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Archer pushes Howell back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Howell looks winded!
Archer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Howells head.
Archer can't find room to land a body shot as Howell controls the action.

Archer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Archer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Howell if he has to take too many more of those.
Howell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Archer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Archer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Archer pushes Howell away with a front kick.
Archer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Archer jabs Howell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Howell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Archer cracks Howell with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Archer lands a right hook to the body.
Archer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That has opened up Lester Howell's cut even more.
A chopping leg kick lands by Archer.
Archer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Archer scores with a sloppy right hand. Howell should have avoided that one.
Howell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Archer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Howell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Archer lands a big head kick that sends Howell tumbling to the mat! Archer takes a step backwards and waves Howell back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Howell is rocked!
and Archer counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Howell! He's just covering up as Archer starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mason Archer!
Mason Archer got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
