Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Tyler the Creator, Yonkers. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown moves to clinch but Elliott breaks away

and Elliott counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Brown has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Elliott will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brown up against the cage.

Elliott has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Brown is trying to keep an underhook but Elliott manages to get the takedown into half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Elliott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Elliott is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Elliott has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Elliott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brown is looking for a triangle but Elliott pushes his legs off easily.

Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Elliott sits in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Elliott is keen to just control but Brown is a slippery customer.

Elliott drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brown manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Elliott has Brown in his guard.

Elliott is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Brown still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Brown has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Elliott, who protects the arm well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Elliott has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brown but great work by Elliott.

My spies in Machine Shop Training Center inform me that Elliott has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well Elliott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
