Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, HaRyo Sharp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oscar Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez avoids the head kick by Sharp.
Nice body kick there by Sharp. Sharp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sharp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sanchez stopping the sweep attempt from Sharp. Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Sharp is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sharp manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Sharp's guard. Sanchez thows a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sanchez trying to control but Sharp is working from the bottom. Sharp looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sanchez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sanchez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Sharp moves in looking to clinch but Sanchez pushes him off. Sharp has his takedown stuffed and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sanchez passes Sharp's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sharp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground. Sanchez looks gassed! Sharp wants to control the action here but instead Sanchez manages to pass to full mount! Sanchez throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Sanchez is in the full mount, landing strikes. Sanchez looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sharp is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Sanchez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sharp can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sanchez is trying to take his opponent's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sanchez has isolated one of Sharp's arms. Sharp looking to fight him off but Sanchez twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
