Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dority (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rukah Padero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Dority!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rukah Padero !
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padero looks to throw the jab but Dority is out of range.
Padero misses with a head kick.
Padero throws a leg kick but Dority sees it coming and moves out of range.
Dority just misses with a punch to the body.
Padero moves forwards but Dority connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Decent striking displayed by Padero there.
Dority slips under a jab from Padero .
Padero bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dority really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dority definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Dority throws a leg kick but Padero sees it coming and checks it nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Padero tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Padero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Padero is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dority is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dority knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Padero on the ground.

Padero is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dority knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Padero thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padero is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Dority lands a big uppercut and Padero crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Padero looks OK. Dority waves Padero back to his feet!


Padero is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dority lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Padero circles away quickly and effectively.
Padero is still on wobbly legs! Can Dority finish him?
Dan Dority is winning the standup battle so far.
Donk. Dority catches Padero right on the button with a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dority, as that shot connected.

Dority misses with an uppercut

and Padero moves into the clinch.
Padero is trying to pull guard but Dority turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Padero seems to have recovered his senses.
Dan Dority has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rukah Padero .

Padero gets control of Dority's arms and successfully pulls guard. Padero will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Padero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dority doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dority manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Padero looking for a guillotine here but Dority defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dority wants to pass the guard but Padero is keeping the position.

Dority got a little sloppy there for a moment and Padero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dority has managed to get both his arms back between Padero 's legs - danger averted.
Dority sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Padero 's guard.

Dority throws a series of punches but Padero avoids them all with ease.

Dority catches Padero with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Padero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dority paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Padero needs to keep his hands up - Dority had a free shot at his head there.
Dority will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Padero uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dority.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Padero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dority.
Dority throws a series of punches but Padero avoids them all with ease.

Padero scores with a sloppy right hand. Dority should have avoided that one.
Padero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dority's waist but Dority gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Padero off to one side.

Dority takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dority misses with a body shot.
Padero wants to clinch
and Dority counters with a series of strikes. Padero will be more careful next time no doubt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Padero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dority has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dority and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Dority ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Padero moves away.
Padero tries to move into range but Dority moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Padero takes a swing at Dority's ribcage but misses.
Dority misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dority pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Padero slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dan Dority is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Padero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dority throws a big shot that misses.
Dority is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Dority misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Padero fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dority lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Padero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dority manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dority feints a jab promting Padero to slip. Dority then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Padero slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Padero swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Padero misses with a low kick.
Padero throws a sloppy body shot
and Dority counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dority looks to land a combination but Padero avoids it well.

Dority lands a nice shot to the body.
Padero looks to land a right hand but Dority moved out of range.
Dority paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dority's jab looks to have found its range, popping Padero under the eye.
Rukah Padero has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Padero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dority cracks Padero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Dan Dority showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dority, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
