The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson darts in and clinches Slate up against the cage.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Slate holds him up against the cage and eventually Anderson drops back down to his feet.
Nice body punch from Slate - that landed with a thud.
Slate lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Slate misses with some punches.
Slate working aggressively here.
Slate drops Anderson with a big knee straight up the middle! Anderson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Anderson is rocked!
It looks like Mark Anderson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anderson glances at the clock... BAM! Slate nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Anderson crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Anderson is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
