Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaiga Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silan Hedaros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kaiga Takeshi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaiga Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Silan Hedaros!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hedaros crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Takeshi - the referee stops the clock and Hedaros gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Takeshi. Hedaros manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Takeshi shoots in for a takedown but Hedaros shows good takedown defense.
Takeshi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hedaros, right into the meat.
Hedaros moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Takeshi tries to clinch but Hedaros moves out of range.
Takeshi lands with a hook. Hedaros tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Takeshi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hedaros throws a right and a left that Takeshi avoids nicely.
Kaiga Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takeshi wants to clinch
and Hedaros counters with an inside leg kick.
Takeshi fails with a takedown attempt.
Hedaros takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Hedaros takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Takeshi pushes Hedaros up against the cage in a clinch.
Takeshi just leaning against Hedaros, taking a breather.
Takeshi scores with a shot to the side of Hedaros's head.

Hedaros pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hedaros stuffs the takedown attempt from Takeshi. Takeshi gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaiga Takeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takeshi throws a combination. Hedaros tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hedaros throws a leg kick which misses Takeshi's front leg but catches the back leg as Takeshi tries to avoid it.
Hedaros takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Takeshi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hedaros.
A punch combination from Takeshi misses.
Takeshi lands the left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hedaros avoids a punch combination nicely.
Takeshi is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Takeshi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Takeshi lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Takeshi wants to stand but Hedaros has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Takeshi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Takeshi throwing strikes but missing.
Takeshi wants to stand and escape but instead Hedaros has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hedaros gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Takeshi wants to clinch up but Hedaros keeps it at a distance.

Hedaros gets a clinch.
Hedaros tries to break the clinch but Takeshi is controlling the position.

Hedaros breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hedaros chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hedaros shoots in for a takedown but Takeshi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Takeshi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hedaros counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Takeshi thinking.
Hedaros lands a jab to the nose.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hedaros fails to land with a series of punches.
Takeshi scores with a hook.
Takeshi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Takeshi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hedaros backs up against the cage.

Takeshi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takeshi lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Takeshi has control of Hedaros's left arm, preventing Hedaros from doing any damage.

Hedaros stands and steps away. Takeshi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hedaros is looking to slow Takeshi down with leg kicks.
Hedaros swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hedaros takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaiga Takeshi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hedaros takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Takeshi dodges the punch combination from Hedaros.
Hedaros takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Takeshi fails with the takedown.
Takeshi wants to clinch
and Hedaros counters with a good low kick that Takeshi was not able to check.

Hedaros keeps the fight on the outside.
Takeshi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hedaros is breathing heavily.

Takeshi has a takedown stuffed.
Takeshi lands a jab.
Hedaros tries to bum rush Takeshi with a series of wild strikes but Takeshi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Takeshi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hedaros working hard to break the clinch.
Hedaros jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Takeshi walks away with a smile on his face. Hedaros gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kaiga Takeshi is winning the standup battle so far.

Takeshi lands an overhand right.
Takeshi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hedaros throws a low kick but Takeshi avoids it.

Takeshi moves to clinch but Hedaros breaks away

and Hedaros decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Takeshi's guard.
Takeshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takeshi wants to get back to his feet but Hedaros is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hedaros breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Takeshi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hedaros.
Takeshi closes the distance but Hedaros moves to the side
and Hedaros makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Takeshi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hedaros on the side of the head.

and Hedaros counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hedaros lands a nice looking body kick.
Takeshi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hedaros wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Silan Hedaros will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Takeshi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hedaros walks away with a smile on his face. Takeshi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hedaros shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takeshi pinned against the cage. Takeshi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hedaros fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hedaros on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hedaros dodges the punch combination from Takeshi.
Takeshi tries to clinch but Hedaros moves out of range.
Kaiga Takeshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Takeshi wants to take the fight to the mat but Hedaros manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Takeshi is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Takeshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Hedaros tries to sprawl out of it but Takeshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hedaros manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaiga Takeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hedaros. Takeshi shrugs it off though.

and Hedaros counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Takeshi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Takeshi counters with a nice leg kick.
Takeshi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hedaros circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takeshi throws an off balance right hand

and Hedaros counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hedaros trying to control but Takeshi is working from the bottom.

Takeshi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Hedaros fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Takeshi.

Takeshi scores with a sloppy right hand. Hedaros should have avoided that one.
Hedaros with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Takeshi to score with a decent uppercut.
Takeshi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hedaros manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Takeshi looks to land a left hand but Hedaros moved out of range nicely.
Takeshi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hedaros.
Takeshi shoots in and drives through. Hedaros sprawls well.
Takeshi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takeshi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hedaros looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kaiga Takeshi.
I think Takeshi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
