Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duarte Moreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Venture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venture has chosen Party Hard by Andrew W.K. as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Duarte Moreira has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Duarte Moreira seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira just misses with a punch to the body.
Moreira misses the shot to the body.
Moreira lands a jab-cross combination.
A head kick misses from Venture.
Moreira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Venture tries to close the distance and clinch but Moreira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Moreira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Moreira misses with a double jab.
Moreira throws a right hand that Venture ducks under and follows up with a left that Venture also avoids with ease.
Venture throws a head kick but Moreira moves out of range.
Venture takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Venture tries to clinch but Moreira is having none of it.

Venture fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moreira, pushing him back against the cage.
Nice elbow from Venture.

It looks like Duarte Moreira has been cut.
Venture looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Moreira blocks an uppercut.
Venture comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Moreira decides to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Moreira wants to stand but Venture is controlling the position.
Moreira has momentary wrist control but Venture slips an elbow through the middle.
Venture loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Venture thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Moreira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Venture on the ground.
Venture is fighting to break Moreira's control of his arms but Moreira is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Moreira on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moreira tries to get out of the position.

Venture drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Moreira dives on top into guard.
Venture has a closed guard, preventing Moreira from standing up.

Venture is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Venture not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Venture is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moreira defends well.

Venture is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Moreira has his hands clasped together but Venture extends and breaks Moreira's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Venture.
