Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Comando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Emelianenko. That's going to slow Comando down.

Comando has taken the fight to the clinch.

Comando has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Emelianenko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Emelianenko controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Achilles Comando hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Emelianenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Comando shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense.
Emelianenko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Emelianenko throws a head kick that misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Emelianenko enables Comando to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Emelianenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Comando seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Comando keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Emelianenko's head.

Comando is taking a breather. Emelianenko says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Comando's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Comando shoots in looking for a takedown but Emelianenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Comando's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
