Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Swarner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randal Cooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swarner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Friends in Low Places . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bob Swarner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randal Cooter!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swarner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Good standup being displayed there by Swarner as he connects with a hook.
Cooter wants to land a leg kick but Swarner is out of range.

Cooter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cooter throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cooter gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cooter just misses with a elbow thrown towards Swarner's brow.
Swarner takes an elbow to the forehead.
Cooter pushes off an throws an elbow but Swarner leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Cooter creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Swarner is trying to force a seperation but Cooter has the dominant position.
Cooter digs a right hand into Swarner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Swarner's gas tank.
Cooter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Swarner's efforts to push away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Swarner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Swarner looks for the body kick but Cooter saw that one coming.
Cooter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Swarner darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cooter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Swarner is fending him off so far but Cooter persists. Nope, Swarner circles away and we're back to standing.

Cooter has Swarner pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cooter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Swarner tumbling to the mat - Cooter dives into Swarner's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cooter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cooter is in close to Swarner's body, working some short punches and elbows.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Cooter and the ref steps in to end the fight! Cooter can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

An out of breath Randal Cooter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
