Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Petite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascal Kraus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Petite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pascal Kraus!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petite wants to clinch

and Kraus counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Petite!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kraus tries to stand but Petite controls the position and pulls Kraus into his guard.
Petite is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kraus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Petite is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kraus is controlling him.
Kraus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kraus wants to control from the top but Petite keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petite utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kraus stopping the sweep attempt from Petite.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petite is working hard here to advance position.
Petite has a closed guard, preventing Kraus from standing up.
Kraus trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Petite manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Petite frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Petite will probably get the nod.
That's time! Petite's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kraus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Petite looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kraus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Petite keeps working.

Kraus goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Petite has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kraus but great work by Petite.

Petite lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kraus down.
Kraus can't do much from the bottom here.
Kraus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Petite's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Petite wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Kraus uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Anthony Petite just wasn't active enough.
Kraus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Petite as he avoids it easily.
Petite tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kraus throws a push kick but Petite slaps the foot to one side.

and Kraus counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kraus.
Petite lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Petite is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kraus is keeping busy.
Kraus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Petite tries to land a knee to the head but Kraus blocks with his arms.

Kraus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Kraus counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kraus.

This has been an exciting period of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Petite is on top in guard.
Petite pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kraus is keeping the position for now.
Petite wants to control from the top but Kraus keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close second round but Pascal Kraus will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Kraus counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Petite's guard now.

and Kraus counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kraus.
Kraus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Petite walks away with a smile on his face. Kraus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Kraus moves into the clinch.

Petite tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kraus counters by clinching up.
Kraus tries to pull guard but Petite holds him up against the cage and eventually Kraus drops back down to his feet.
Kraus prevents Petite from breaking the clinch.
Petite is trying to stall.
Petite displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kraus up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kraus is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pascal Kraus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kraus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
