Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lock Bresnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lock Bresnar has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lock Bresnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donald Duff!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bresnar misses with a takedown attempt - Duff sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Duff shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Duff was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Duff tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bresnar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bresnar gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Duff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Duff throws a sloppy strike and Bresnar uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Bresnar has ended up in Duff's guard.
Duff is trying to control the position but Bresnar postures up.
Bresnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duff on the ground.

Bresnar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duff has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bresnar has managed to get both his arms back between Duff's legs - danger averted.
Bresnar throws a strike but Duff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Duff chips away with some ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Duff distracts Bresnar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bresnar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Duff is looking to work some ground and pound but Bresnar has wrist control.
Duff postures up in Bresnar's guard and throws a big left but Bresnar blocks it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Duff shoots in but Bresnar avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Duff circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bresnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Duff.

Duff has Bresnar up against the cage in a clinch.

Duff pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Duff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bresnar tries to avoid it but Duff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bresnar to the ground. Bresnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lock Bresnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donald Duff.

Duff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bresnar quickly recovers to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Duff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bresnar tries to avoid it but Duff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bresnar to the ground. Bresnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bresnar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bresnar is staying active underneath Duff, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Donald Duff was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Duff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bresnar as he avoids it easily.

Duff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bresnar is trying to defend but Duff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Duff is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bresnar is just riding it out for now. Duff eventually gives up the hold.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Donald Duff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Bresnar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Duff to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duff lands a couple of digs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Duff wants to control from the top but Bresnar keeps moving.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Donald Duff hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Duff is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bresnar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Duff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bresnar keeps working.

Donald Duff comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Duff has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
