Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Young John!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price throws a leg kick but John sees it coming and moves out of range.
John checks a low kick from Price.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - John has eaten all the pies!
John lands a front kick.

Price shoots in and gets a takedown into John's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Price sitting in guard here, content to control.
John wants to stand and escape but Price is having none of it.
Price is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
John has control of Price's left arm, preventing Price from doing any damage.

Price got a little sloppy there for a moment and John has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Price has managed to get both his arms back between John's legs - danger averted.

Price loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
John tries to land a sweep but no joy.
John keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

John rushes Price and presses him up against the cage.
Price fails to pull guard.
Price is looking to take this one to the mat.

John jumps into guard, dragging Price to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
John tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Price seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

John wants to sweep but no luck.
Price pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. John is keeping the position for now.
Price trying to control but John is working from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
John wants to stand up but Price is controlling him.
Price wants to control from the top but John keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Benjamin Price.

Price gets tackled into the cage by John. John maintains the clinch.

A short right from Price on the inside.
John is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Price lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Price pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Price throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Price will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Price trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
John wants to get up but he can't break Price's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Price throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Price bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in John's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but John is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Price lands a couple of elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Price has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but John is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Price working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
John controls Price momentarily but Price frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



John gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Price is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. John swivels though and keeps the full guard.

John throws his legs up looking for a submission but Price uses it to pass to side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Price wants to control but John is keeping him busy.

Price just content to control the position.
Price working the ground and pound from side control.
John is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
John is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Price is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Price connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Price tries to control but John wriggling away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Price pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Price wants to control the pace but John is squirming around nicely.
Price putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Price controlling the position easily from mount.
Price looking to control but John is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Price goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now John is on top in guard.
Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Price has his feet on John's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Price shoots in for a takedown but John shows good takedown defense.
Price shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. John defends it nicely.
Price bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of John's head.

Price fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Price. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Price is looking to clinch.

Price throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. John tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Price is in John's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
John looking to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Price scoring with punches to the head and body.
Price is stalling in the full guard.
Price is looking to work some ground and pound but John has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Price gets a clinch.
John is trying to maintain a safe position but Price gets an underhook and turns John into the cage.

Price jumps guard and drags John to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Price wants to stand and escape but John is having none of it.
Price wants to sweep but no luck.
John trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mr Young John was stalling too much, according to the referee.

John gets the takedown into side control.

John tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no John has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

John wants to stand but Price is controlling his arm.
John takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Price tries to bench press John off him but John keeps the position.
Price sneaks back into half guard.
Price tries to roll over but John keeps him under control.
Price missing with punches from the bottom.
Price has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
John is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
John throwing strikes here but Price is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Price really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Price swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Price is looking to improve his position but John isn't that keen on the idea.

Price lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for John!

John is looking to improve his position but Price isn't that keen on the idea.

John takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
John is in a horrible position here. Price smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Benjamin Price showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Price has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
