Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rousimar Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joabe Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palhares's entrance music is arrival to earth. A fine choice. Joabe Oliveira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oliveira has managed to clinch.
Palhares tries to pull guard but Oliveira holds him up against the cage and eventually Palhares drops back down to his feet.

Oliveira escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Palhares moves in looking to clinch but Oliveira pushes him off.

Oliveira looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Oliveira trying to mount his opponent but Palhares defends it.

Palhares is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Oliveira pulls his head out easily.
Oliveira wants to control but Palhares is keeping him busy.

Palhares might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Oliveira is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Palhares shoots for a double leg takedown but Oliveira sprawls well. He's pushed Palhares's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Palhares shoots in for a takedown but Oliveira shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Palhares is breathing heavily.
Palhares shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Oliveira but Oliveira pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oliveira closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Palhares did well to prevent Oliveira getting side control.

Palhares is squirming around, avoiding Oliveira's attempts to control the action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oliveira has hold of Palhares's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Palhares manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Oliveira postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Palhares looks a forlorn figure.
Palhares is trying to escape the mount but Oliveira keeps good control and instead manages to take Palhares's back.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Oliveira is working for a rear naked choke. Palhares is not defending it well and Oliveira has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Palhares refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Palhares's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
