Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lars Larsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lars Larsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Nash!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash lands a nice looking body kick.
Larsen lands a front kick.
Nash closes the distance and clinches up with Larsen, looking for a takedown. Nash pushes Larsen against the cage but Larsen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Larsen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Larsen postures up in Nash's guard and throws a big left but Nash blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Larsen showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Larsen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nash wants to control the position but Larsen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Larsen passes into side control, despite Nash's attempt to control the position.
Nash bucks up and tries to throw Larsen off but instead Larsen has got his back!
Larsen slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Can Nash hold on?! Larsen is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Larsen is trying to stick to Nash's back but Nash is turning into Larsen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Larsen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nash.
Larsen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nash is trying to maintain the position but Larsen is very close to passing his half guard.

Larsen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Nash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Larsen's waist but Larsen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nash off to one side.
Larsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nash pinned against the cage. Nash gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Larsen has Nash up against the cage in a clinch.
Larsen works on Nash's body with a couple of short punches.
Larsen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nash pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Nash is looking to break free of the clinch but Larsen has double underhooks.
Nash is trying to push Larsen away but Larsen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nash wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nash throws an elbow but misses.
Nash tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Larsen pushes off an throws an elbow but Nash leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Nash lands an elbow just above Larsen 's eye.
Nash misses with some punches.

Nash throws a knee to the head but misses.

Larsen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nash scores with a head kick.
Nash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nash is breathing heavily.

Larsen pushes Nash up against the cage in a clinch.

Larsen manages to break the clinch.
Larsen stuffs the takedown attempt from Nash. Nash gets slowly back to his feet.
Lars Larsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robin Nash.
Nash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nash swings for the body but Larsen moves out of range.
Lars Larsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Larsen.
Nice uppercut lands for Larsen. That snapped Nash's head back.

Nash looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Larsen is fending him off so far but Nash persists. Nope, Larsen circles away and we're back to standing.

Larsen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Larsen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Larsen manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larsen lands a nice forearm strike.
Larsen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Larsen gets to mount! Nash was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Nash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Larsen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Larsen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Larsen wants to finish this one by submission but Nash is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Larsen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nash tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Larsen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nash as he avoids it easily.
Larsen throws a body kick that misses.
Larsen blocks a head kick by Nash.
Nash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Larsen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nash throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Nash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Larsen moves into the clinch successfully.
Larsen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nash is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lars Larsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nash has had enough of the clinch but Larsen keeps him there for the moment.

Larsen jumps guard and drags Nash to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Robin Nash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nash throws a nice looking combination but Larsen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nash misses with a wild combination.
Larsen shoots in looking for a takedown but Nash manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Larsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Larsen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Larsen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nash with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Larsen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nash can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Larsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
