The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ballard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Kevin Ballard has been cut.
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Ballard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ballard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Ballard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ballard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ballard is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.
Ballard is looking to advance position but Lee won't allow it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kevin Ballard was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ballards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ballard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.

Lee looking for a triangle here. Ballard is fighting it but it looks tight! Lee pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ballard is tapping out - this one is all over!

Nathan Lee really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Square Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
