Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Achilles Comando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dj Acevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Comando moves in looking to clinch but Acevedo pushes him off.
Comando throws a series of punches but Acevedo moves out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Acevedo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Acevedo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Achilles Comando.
Comando throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Acevedo's waist but Acevedo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Comando off to one side.
Comando shoots in for a takedown but Acevedo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well Acevedo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
