The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nitiguchi rushes Borjesson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Borjesson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nitiguchi content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Nitiguchi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dario Nitiguchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Borjesson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Borjesson shoots in but Nitiguchi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Nitiguchi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Nitiguchi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Borjesson sprawls well initially but Nitiguchi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Nitiguchi wants to control from the top but Borjesson keeps moving.

Borjesson is looking for a triangle here but Nitiguchi uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Nitiguchi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Borjesson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nitiguchi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Borjesson's back instead.

Borjesson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nitiguchi has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
